Biography of Brie Bristol concerning the Rhonda Swan Scholarship Bridget “Brie” Bristol is a Journalism and Political Science student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and will be graduating in 2021. Bristol is an out-of-state student from North Carolina and identifies herself as a first-generation American citizen due to family ties. At
university, Bristol is involved in various organizations where her leadership is often heard around campus as she has become the Editor-in-Chief of the only people of color publication on campus, has become an NAACP board member, and has become an event planner for the SBS Academic Fellows Program. After graduation, Bristol plans on pursuing a career in Journalism and eventually in Law, in order to live out her passion for community involvement by helping the voiceless be heard on a global scale.
